The day started out beautifully.  There was forecasts of rain, but the weather was beautiful. In fact in all our sweaters and heavy sweatshirts, it was a bit warm.  We gathered at South Baptist Church on Van Slyke Road.  What a crowd there was for the parade formation.  Of course the High School kids, but also what seemed to be all the elementary students as well.  So unlike what we had for homecoming parades.

We all are waiting for our instructions, while catching up on the past 35 years!!  It was a pleasant surprise that so many of our classmates showed up for the parade.  The committee thought it would be fun, but in hind sight, it was a big part of the success of the Reunion Weekend.  As Vic Mead put it, we had the opportunity to be kids again, at least for the weekend.

What a beautiful car.

The 1967 Skylark

Janis Beede did a great job on getting the 3 1967 cars for the parade.  It was the hit of the whole parade... We had a 1967 Electra, 1967 Skylark with flames on the side and the big hit a 1967 Corvette!  The car owners were very gracious in being part of our Reunion.
